Originally from Saratoga Springs, New York, Sophie Brill is an Associate Photo Editor at Everyday Health Inc., and a Contributing Photo Editor at Narratively, Inc. She is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts and a mentor at NYC SALT, a nonprofit after-school residency program teaching photography and digital media skills to New York City high school students. Her work dealing with gun regulation in America was exhibited in the 2017 School of Visual Arts Mentors Exhibition in Chelsea, as well as the 2017 Photoville festival, and she is the 2017 recipient of the Anthony M. Ruotolo Photojournalism Award. She also volunteers regularly with Planned Parenthood, plays the piano, occasionally teaches yoga and is an avid long-distance runner.
